I know it has been awhile since I have posted an update here, but in our case no news is good news. Jenna has been doing
quite well. She had some trouble with some dizziness last spring and we took her to a Neurologist at Mayo as well as a Cardiologist
and they determined that she has some slowing in her brain from the surgeries which is to be expected. Nothing she can't learn
to live with though. She has been dancing at Nicole's School of dance for a year now and is sooo happy. She wants nothing
more then to dance! Her competition season will be starting in February so she has been hard at work perfecting all of her
dances for her first competition.
We received some bad news a couple of weeks ago that Dr. Raffel is no longer going
to be a clinical neurosurgeon and will be only doing research. Needless to say we are devastated! At this point he hasn't
returned any calls or e-mails for a referral to a new doctor for us so we are doing a lot of research as to where and who
we will go to. We all had alot of trust in Dr. Raffel so we are praying extra hard that she will never need surgery in the
future. We know God gave us Dr. Raffel so we know he will guide us to the right doctor for her needs now.
We
have decided that we are going to take down this website next month. We feel that we can get information and updates out quicker
through her CaringBridge site (www.caringbridge.org/visit/jennagunderson), Facebook, and Twitter. Tyse and I both have
Facebook pages we typically update there first so if you would like to friend us on there, just state that you have followed
this website and we will add you. We also have a Facebook page "Team Jenna" that you can like as well. We hope you
will continue to follow Jenna's journey and continue to pray for her health as well as our many friends that are fighting
this battle!
