  • What is JPA?   JPA is the most common form of childhood brain tumor that can happen to children and young adults at any time.
  • Is JPA life threatening?   Unfortunately the answer is yes depending on the tumor location. Because JPA can be located near centers for vital signs, thought, emotion & movement and sensory development. Also the side effects of Chemotherapy and radiotherapy can be devastating. Children can also experience critical, long term neurologic impairments and side effects from current treatments.
  • Is there research being done?  Unfortunately JPA's are critically under-researched and there is little funding identified for research for JPA.
